The Health and Governance Collaborative brings together researchers from political science, biostatistics and medicine to focus on experiments in governance and global healthy delivery. The collaborative, co-housed at the CPD and the UCSF Division of HIV/AIDS, Infectious Disease and Global Medicine, seeks to marry recent advances in implementation science and impact evaluation methods to parallel social science research on improving the quality of governance, reducing leakages, and shaping the incentives of civil servants and other actors. Biomedical and social sciences are often analyzing the same reality; the collaborative promotes dialogue between researchers in these traditions to improve programming and research in both areas.
