How to Reach UC Berkeley
The UC Berkeley campus is located 30 minutes from the Oakland International Airport and 60 minutes from the San Francisco International Airport.
From San Francisco International Airport: The easiest way to get from the San Francisco Airport to Berkeley is Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART). A Richmond train will take you directly to the Downtown Berkeley station, which is one block from the campus. Another option is to take a Pittsburg/Baypoint train and transfer to a Richmond train at the 12th Street station in Oakland. The cost is about $9.25.
From Oakland International Airport: The Oakland Airport Connector costs $8.50 and departs every 5-20 minutes to the Coliseum BART station. Take a Richmond train to the Downtown Berkeley station, which is one block from campus. Southwest Airlines and Jetblue are the main carriers for Oakland.
Shuttle Service from the San Francisco and Oakland Airports
The Bayporter Express offers shuttle service to and from both airports. They require a minimum 24-hour advance reservation. The shuttle from the San Francisco Airport to Berkeley is $38.00 and $29.00 from The Oakland Airport. This shuttle service operates between 3:30am and midnight to San Francisco and 3:30am to 11:00pm to Oakland Airport.
Taxis and Rental Cars
Cab fare from the Oakland Airport to downtown Berkeley is approximately $52.00. Cab fare from the San Francisco Airport to downtown Berkeley is approximately $95.00. Most major car rental agencies, including Hertz and Avis, are located at both airports.

If you are planning to drive to the event and need a campus parking permit, please contact jleaver@berkeley.edu. There are also numerous private garages. Although street parking is free on Sundays, it is very limited and there are one hour time limits during weekdays.
